Senior Accountant - CPA Firm (Manhattan)

A boutique CPA firm located in Manhattan is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, collaborative firm environment and is comfortable handling a variety of accounting responsibilities throughout the year.The firm is looking for a well-rounded accounting professional who can support ongoing client accounting work and assist with tax preparation and occasional audit engagements as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle accounting work for clients throughout the yearPrepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger activityAssist with bookkeeping, month-end close, and year-end accounting tasksSupport tax preparation during tax season, including individual and/or business returnsAssist with audit engagements on an as-needed basisCommunicate with clients regarding accounting, tax, and financial informationMaintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of assigned workWork closely with firm leadership in supporting client service needsQualificationsPublic accounting or CPA firm experience preferredStrong accounting and bookkeeping backgroundExperience with tax preparation is a plusAudit exposure is helpful but not requiredAbility to manage multiple priorities in a boutique firm environmentDetail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working independentlyStrong communication and organizational skillsIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is hands-on, flexible, and willing to support different areas of the firm, including accounting, tax, and occasional audit work.
