This role will oversee core HR functions including employee relations, compliance, and performance management, with a strong focus on supporting clinical and administrative staff in an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) setting.This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with California labor laws while fostering a positive, structured, and growth-oriented work environment.RequirementsLead day-to-day HR operations across multiple locations, ensuring consistency in policies and practicesPartner with leadership to support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and organizational growthOversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance managementEnsure compliance with all California labor laws, including wage/hour, leave of absence (LOA), and employee classificationsManage and improve onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processesDevelop and maintain HR policies, SOPs, and internal documentationSupport and guide managers on HR best practices and employee developmentMonitor and report on HR metrics such as turnover, retention, and hiring timelinesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in healthcare, behavioral health, or ABA servicesStrong knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance requirementsExperience supporting multi-site or high-growth organizationsProven ability to manage employee relations and sensitive situations professionallyStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExperience working closely with recruiting teams and hiring managersHR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferredThis is a full-time salaried, non-exempt position with medical, dental, vision, vacation, and other full-time benefitsWe value Positivity, Perseverance, and Teamwork.The ideal candidate also has:Experience in ABA, autism services, or healthcare environmentsFamiliarity with roles such as RBTs, BCBAs, and clinical staff structuresExperience building or improving HR processes in a growing organizationFull compensation package are based on candidate experience and certifications.California pay range$75,000—$85,000 USDThe perks and benefits of working with us: Full-Time:Health Insurance (60% contribution for full-time employees and their dependent on the base plan) Dental and Vision Insurance (60% contribution to the base plan) ASPCA Pet Insurance Life and AD&D Insurance Access to supplemental insurance benefits Employee Assistance Program (Available for Full-Time and Part-Time) Discounted Gym Membership for Employees and Friends & Family (Planet Fitness) (Available for Full-Time and Part-Time) 401(k) retirement plan (Available for Full-Time and Part-Time) Quarterly staff appreciation events (free lunch; staff celebrations and recognition) (Available for Full-Time and Part-Time) Employee Recognition Platform w/ rewards (Available for Full-Time and Part-Time) We Value POSITIVITY.
