Billing Clerk - Austin Industrial (St. Gabiel, LA) Billing clerks handle a variety of financial and administrative tasks to support the accounting department and ensure the company receives payments on time. Other duties may be assigned.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Creating and issuing invoices to customers for goods or services rendered.Processing credit memos and updating accounting records with payments, new balances, and customer information.Reconciling accounts to verify that invoices match received payments and resolving discrepancies.Monitoring outstanding payments and sending reminders to clients.Communicating with customers to address billing inquiries, clarify discrepancies, and provide account statements.Collaborating with other departments such as sales, shipping, or customer service to ensure accurate billing and resolve disputes.Preparing reports on billing activities and assisting the accounting team with financial documentation.Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in invoices and financial records.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and transactions efficiently.Mathematical proficiency for calculating bills, discounts, and reconciliations.Computer literacy, including familiarity with accounting software and spreadsheets.Communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams professionally.Other duties as assigned.Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
