The intern will complete a structured project that includes market research, development of a Request for Proposal (RFP), and evaluation of potential providers. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the development of a strategic implementation timeline and creating an engaging and educational rollout plan to support organizational adoption. This position offers hands-on experience in financial analysis, vendor management, and strategic planning.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct research on fee structures, including how fees are calculated and their impact on revenue performance.Analyze current merchant service programs and identify opportunities to optimize income streams.Perform industry benchmarking to compare practices, pricing, and service models against competitors.Develop a detailed Request for Proposal (RFP), including project scope, objectives, requirements, and evaluation criteria.Prepare and organize vendor questions, submissions guidelines, and timelines for the RFP processCreate and manage a structured project timeline with defined milestones from research through final vendor selection.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to communicate project goals, expectations, and progress updates.All other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired:Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or related fieldRequirementsSkillsStrong organizational and project management skillsAnalytical thinking with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trendsOrganizational and project management skills with the attention to detailAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamProficient with Microsoft OfficeProblem solving mindsetTime management skills with the ability to manage deadlinesWork Environment
