Interior Design/Sales Consultant

The Sales & Design Consultant works closely with customers to create design solutions and sell the products and services that Nowell & Co offer. The Sales & Design Consultants work with on the floor with customers, in the design room or on job sites. This role includes retail furniture sales, fabric coordination, product selection and overall project design.Responsibilities • The Sales & Design Consultant works closely with the customers to create individualized and personable design solutions to sell the products and services Nowell & Co provides. • The Design Solutions include space planning, color and fabric coordination, product selection and overall project design. • Represent the Nowell & Co business and family in all customer interactions. Establish positive, working relationships with clients to evaluate the needs and desires of each project. • Utilize technology skills to develop and grow business; such as Social Media posting, advertising for the company, answering online inquiries and posting online content that will build relationships with prospective and current clients. • Stay current on popular high-end design and color trends to educate customers and provide exceptional design and sales services • Coordinate with the Nowell & Co team and other vendors, before and after the sale, to keep customers informed of their order status. • Organizing the Design Room and keeping samples current • Maintain necessary work orders, notes and project documents to keep up with project detailsQualifications • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a sales or design-related field from an accredited institution • Broad knowledge of Interior Design and effective sales techniques • Must be able to establish relationships with outside vendors and sales representatives to communicate needs and requests • Assist with various design and administrative tasks related to all phases of High-End interior design • Working knowledge of Retail Sales and design tools • Experience in being part of a collaborative design environment • Good listening skills with excellent oral and written communication skills also required • General understanding of how to utilize Social Media and technology based marketing • Skills using digital floor planning and design technology; such as Apple Keynote, AutoCadd and other digital presentation tools • Willing and capable of learning new programs or technologies • Valid Driver’s License for occasional use and travel during business hoursJob Type: Full-time
