A foundation you can count on!Responsibilities and DutiesDelivering ready-mixed concrete and other associated products from batch plants to construction sites and homes in a safe and efficient manner. Pre-trip inspections of ready-mix trucks pursuant to D.O.T. regulations. Safely loads and promptly delivers ready-mixed concrete to job sites as dispatched while maintaining positive customer and public relations. Performs related loading and unloading operations with ready-mixed concrete delivery truck in an efficient safe manner. Performs regular maintenance and cleaning inside of concrete drum as required. Rinses chutes and rear of truck free of spilled concrete and returns truck to batch plant following EPA regulations. Assists concrete block molds and production, as needed. Keeps inside of cab clean and sanitary. Performs daily cleaning and routine maintenance of truck. Performs other functions and duties as required or directed. Qualifications and SkillsAbility to deliver quality work on tight deadlines. Must multitask in a fast-paced environment Effective verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated and possesses the ability to complete tasks on-time and with little supervision. Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and Department of Transportation (DOT) physical. Ability to climb in and out of the truck when delivering concrete and lift extension chutes and other items weighing between 25 to 75 pounds, at least 30 percent of the time. Education / Training Requirements1-year ready-mix truck operations a plus Valid Class A or Class B License Age 25 or 21 with clean driving record Clean Motor vehicle record (MVR) GED/high-school diploma Schedule1st shift, varying early morning times working 10 to 12 hour shifts during busy season. Overtime after 40 hours worked. Every other Saturday during busy season (Half days) Guaranteed 40 hours worked year around.
