Job Title: Java SDET Automation Tester (Technology Consultant II)Employment Type: Full-TimeLocations: Plano, TX | Raleigh, NC | Reston, VA | Richardson, TX | Tempe, AZJob SummaryWe are looking for a Java SDET Automation Tester with strong experience in Java, test automation, and software testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions while ensuring software quality and reliability throughout the SDLC.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to requirement analysis by understanding and documenting business requirements.Participate in application design discussions and provide testing inputs.Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Java.Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing.Conduct code reviews and maintain automation code repositories.Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production deployments.Participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive solutions.Create and maintain test plans, test cases, automation documentation, and knowledge articles.Collaborate with developers, QA teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC.Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.5+ years of experience in Java Automation Testing.Strong programming skills in Java.Experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, and automation frameworks.Experience in API testing using REST Assured or Postman.Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.Experience with Git version control.Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Preferred SkillsExperience with Cucumber (BDD).Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud platforms.Technical SkillsProgramming: JavaAutomation: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, CucumberAPI Testing: REST Assured, PostmanDatabases: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQLVersion Control: Git, GitHub, GitLabBuild Tools: Maven, GradleCI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOpsCloud: AWS, Azure (Preferred)Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, SDLC, STLC
