Role Summary / PurposeWe are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategic vision and development of the merchant channels and tools for Synchrony. The ideal candidate will be adept at quickly understanding a variety of technologies, possess a strong product management background with a focus on digital payment products, merchant/provider experience, and have a proven track record of go‐to‐market product delivery.ResponsibilitiesManage, develop, and drive Synchrony merchant channel product; provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the portfolio to meet business growth, profitability, and customer needsOwn the provider/merchant experience and work with leadership team to evolve and maintain the supporting point of sale for Synchrony merchants.Align a cohesive strategy with our Health & Wellness, Home & Auto and Lifecycle teams to realize synergies across Synchrony point of sale channelsDefine and deliver product strategy, roadmap and ultimately prioritization of new features in concert with complementary and dependent point of sale channelsWork directly with Product Marketing, IT, Analytics, Sales and business stakeholders to improve merchant experienceDeeply understand merchant and customer journeys and internal workflows to inform new opportunities to improve associated experiencesGather Voice‐of‐Customer feedback and process aggregate feedback from clients, consumers and internal teams to form recommendations on future capabilities and servicesPartner with Marketing and Commercialization teams to develop product marketing strategy and materialsBuild a strong cross‐functional network and foster close working relationships with internal stakeholdersDevelop dashboards and metrics to communicate progress and channel performance.Coordinate legal, compliance, risk, and regulatory requirements for new capabilities and enhancements; ensures documentation and approvals are completed for releases.Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.Qualifications / RequirementsBachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school equivalent 9+ years of experience in product management, sales, or marketing in credit or financial services industries.5+ years of product management or product marketing experienceProven project or program management experience in cross‐functional environmentExperience working in SAFe Agile frameworks or similar agile methodologies.Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.Desired CharacteristicsExperience with financial services and specifically financingExperience with point‐of‐sale product managementExperience or demonstrated knowledge of payer processes including claims adjudication, provider networks, eligibility/enrollment, prior authorization, and member billing.Demonstrated thought leadership coupled with strong communication skills and ability to help teams connect the dots on new ideas, processes and strategyAbility to leverage technology to create new processes and drive efficiency gainsDemonstrated strategic, analytical and problem‐solving skillsExcellent influencing and relationship‐building skills at multiple levels of organizationExperience working with internal and external partners on product ideation, delivery planning, and execution.Strong written/verbal communication skills, including ability to present clearly to stakeholders.Certification in Agile, Product, or Project Management (SAFe, CSPO/PSPO, PMP) preferred.SalaryThe salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle. At Synchrony, our way of working allows you to have the option to work from home near one of our Hubs or come into one of our offices. You will be required to commute to our nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in‐person engagement activities such as weekly business or team meetings, training and culture events.
