DescriptionThe Buyer supports the Purchasing Department in the procurement of materials and services required for production and operations. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing, contributing to the successful development and delivery of power conversion systems from concept through production.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesSupport supplier management activities, including performance related to quality, delivery, scheduling, and inventoryCreate, process, and maintain accurate purchase orders (POs) within the ERP systemMonitor inventory levels and coordinate material requirements to support production schedulesTrack and evaluate supplier performance, escalating issues related to quality or delivery as neededAssist in maintaining supplier compliance with contractual agreements and company standardsSupport cost analysis and cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and delivery expectationsMonitor inventory positions against forecasts and customer demand to maintain optimal stock levelsTrack Purchasing KPIs and assist in preparing reports and performance metricsResolve billing, shipping, and logistics issues in a timely and professional mannerParticipate in supplier communications, meetings, and follow-upsMaintain reporting for open POs, past-due orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performanceSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing and supply chain functionCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environmentEnsure compliance with company policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operationsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)Strong written and verbal communication skillsSolid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentExperience in a manufacturing environmentBasic understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical drawingsFamiliarity with electronic components, hardware, MRO, and indirect procurementKnowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain metricsExposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement environmentsExperience working with ERP systemsWork EnvironmentFast-paced, collaborative team environmentRequires the ability to work both independently and cross-functionallyBenefits401(k) with company matchingMedical, dental, and vision insuranceDisability and life insuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Time Off (PTO)Tuition reimbursementEqual Opportunity EmployerEPC Power is an equal opportunity employer.
