Transport Driver

The Transport Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of equipment and materials to designated locations. This role requires the loading and unloading of items, adhering to strict safety protocols and operational standards. A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred, along with a comprehensive understanding of tie-down techniques and Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) regulations.Must possess the physical capability to lift 50 pounds and demonstrate proficiency in navigating various transportation routes while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. Attention to detail, punctuality, and effective communication skills are essential for successful collaboration with team members and clients. The position entails a commitment to maintaining the integrity of transported goods and upholding the highest standards of safety throughout all phases of transportation.Key Responsibilities:Conduct safe and efficient operation of the assigned vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and regulations. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety.Plan and follow designated routes efficiently, utilizing GPS technology and maps to minimize transportation time while adhering to delivery schedules.Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring that goods are secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Verify the accuracy of cargo against shipping documents.Maintain accurate records of transportation activitiesComplete Procore Equipment Inspections reports on all equipment. .Report any incidents or vehicle issues to management promptly.Communicate professionally with clients and customers during deliveries, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with the service provided.Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws regarding transport operations, including safety regulations, always wearing PPE.Be prepared to implement emergency procedures in the event of vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or hazardous situations, ensuring personal safety and the safety of others.Work cohesively with warehouse staff and logistics coordinators to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods, contributing to overall operational efficiency.Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance driving skills and knowledge of transportation regulations, best practices, and safety protocols.Other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisorDrivers must be a minimum of 25 years oldCDL driver's licenseClean Motor Vehicle RecordEducation: High School Diploma or equivalentExperience: Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience.Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of timeability to lift 50 poundsability to load materialsMust be able to safely perform job duties in outdoor environments, including exposure to Arizona heat and varying weather conditions.Ability to operate or learn how to operate a forkliftWork Environment - Ability to work independently and practice discretion with regard to driving efficiently in busy roadways and maneuvering through heavy traffic. Ability to work for periods of time outside including exposure to heat conditions.Schedule: Monday - Friday with some weekendsHours are typically 5:00am - 2:00pm, subject to change
