From concept and development to finished product and after-sales service, Lanco Integrated empowers global assembly.We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Automation Engineer to join our engineering team in Westbrook, Maine. In this role, you'll design and support advanced automation systems from concept through commissioning. You'll collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers as well as project teams to turn designs into fully functional machines. This position offers hands-on involvement with cutting-edge technologies and the opportunity to see your designs come to life in real-world manufacturing environments. If you enjoy mechanical design, problem solving, and working directly with equipment, this is an excellent opportunity.Mechanical Automation Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:Design and engineer advanced automated assembly stations from concept through final buildProduce complete mechanical design packages, including:Assembly and detail drawingsBills of material (BOMs)Station descriptions and I/O designationsParticipate in internal and customer design reviewsEstimate and document station cycle timesSupport machine builds through purchasing, manufacturing, assembly, and debug phasesLead vendor communications and Requests for QuotationDevelop test plans and perform risk analysesReview technical scope, cost, and schedule with the Project EngineerManage your work with awareness of project schedules and budgetsAdditional Duties May Include:Support development and updates of machine manualsAssist Applications Engineering and Sales with quotations and technical specificationsHelp develop and maintain mechanical design standardsSupport Customer Service and Field Engineering as neededAssist with special projects and new employee trainingMechanical Automation Engineer Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent7+ years of experience in automation or machine designStrong mechanical system design expertise with exposure to sensors and control systemsProficiency in 3-D CAD and Microsoft OfficeAbility to perform tolerance stack-up analyses and advanced mechanical engineering calculationsWorking knowledge of:Geometric Dimensioning & TolerancingBasic machining practicesMRP system processesFamiliarity with ISO procedures and structured engineering environmentsBenefits:We take care of our people - and their futures.Benefits include:401(k) with company matchHealth, dental, and life insuranceShort- and long-term disabilityPaid time off & paid holidaysPaid parental leaveESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)Tuition reimbursementA collaborative, innovative environment where your ideas matter
