NCR Voyix is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and serves customers in more than 35 countries worldwide.Position SummaryWe are seeking a litigation lawyer with sufficient litigation background (substantive legal issues, proceedings, and venues, including experience with discovery and motion practice) to assist the company's senior litigation staff. The position is responsible for assisting senior litigation counsel with the management of cases and disputes, primarily in the negligence, employment, and bankruptcy areas. The successful candidate may be called upon to manage matters in these areas independently, and when called upon, advocate for and represent the company in such matters. The position will focus primarily on domestic matters, with opportunities to work on non-US matters. The position reports to the Deputy General Counsel for Litigation.Key Responsibilities:Manage discovery in assigned casesProvide counseling and advice to senior litigation staff and clients on assigned mattersLead internal investigations of negligence and employment mattersManage case budgets and outside counsels' compliance with NCR's Outside Counsel Billing GuidelinesRole in corporate credit risk review process, including updating clients on customer bankruptcy mattersRepresent NCR in mediations of negligence mattersWork directly with litigation vendorsQualificationsExperience:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law schoolAt least 3 years' experience in a law firm litigation group, including ideally a working understanding of US bankruptcy lawKnowledge of privilege issues relevant to in-house practiceExcellent legal judgment and ability to work independentlyStrong negotiation skillsSuperior legal and business writing skillsExcellent oral communication skillsFamiliarity with electronic discovery protocols and litigation technologyAbility to conduct and direct legal researchWilling to learn in a fast-paced environment and on a large number of matters at any given timeMember of the Georgia bar or be eligible to practice as an in-house attorney in GeorgiaOffers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the jobEEO StatementIntegrated into our shared values is NCR Voyix's commitment to diversity and equal employment opportunity.
