Learn more about our benefits.Key ResponsibilitiesManage engineers in utilizing techniques to characterize hardware, define methods and new technologies and apply them to characterize hardware, and/or perform hardware characterization on extremely complex systems for entire range of products for divisionInteract with key customers to resolve extremely complex process engineering issues to address customers High Value Problems (HVP) for an entire range of products for the divisionEnsures effective product/technology demonstrationsManages experimental tests, evaluates results and escalates critical technology issues to managementDetermines product process specifications and equipment strengths, weakness and area of developmental opportunityLeads collaboration efforts with executive managers and junior managers to ensure strategic executionLeads market share improvement effortsFunctional Knowledge* Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within own job family and knowledge of other related job familiesBusiness Expertise* Applies in-depth understanding of how own discipline integrates within the segment/functionLeadership* Manages multiple related teams, sets organizational priorities and allocates resourcesProblem Solving* Identifies and resolves complex technical, operational and organizational problemsImpact* Impacts the business results of a team or area by supporting and funding of projects, products, services and/or technologies and developing policies and plans* Guided by business unit, department or sub-functional business plansInterpersonal Skills* Influences others internally and externally, including senior managementPosition requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials' core values.Design ESC Components: Develop ceramic puck structures, electrode layouts, and integrate thermal and electrical systems for wafer clamping.Ceramic Design and Manufacturing: 16+ years designing ceramic products using AutoCAD, with hands-on expertise in brazing, sintering, plating, and soldering, ESC puck and electrode integrationValidate Performance: Test chucking force, thermal uniformity, and reliability under plasma and vacuum conditions.Support Process Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot ESC issues and qualify designs in chamber environments.Additional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Assignee / RegularTravel:Yes, 20% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
