Supply Chain Operations Specialist (Fremont)

Seeking a driven, detail-oriented, and hands-on Supply Chain Analyst to support warehouse operations. This role focuses on applying industrial engineering and Lean methodologies to enhance operational performance. Working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners, the analyst will help optimize processes to improve efficiency, capacity, quality, and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Process Engineers in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, data visibility, and inventory accuracyAssist in designing and optimizing workstation layouts to improve space utilization and reduce cycle timesPartner with operations teams to identify bottlenecks and implement effective solutions; address daily process-related issuesConduct time studies and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) through formal change management processesEnhance workplace safety and ergonomicsAct as a liaison between operations and third-party vendors to coordinate activities and resolve issuesPerform data analysis, process mapping, and recommend system or workflow improvementsHandle ad hoc requests such as reporting, root cause analysis, and operational insightsExtract and analyze data from multiple sources; present findings through clear visualizations and dashboardsAssist with solution testing, debugging, and documentationValidate data accuracy and provide actionable insights for decision-makingRequired SkillsStrong understanding of Lean principles and methodologies (cycle time, 8 wastes, root cause analysis, Just-in-Time, 5S, DMAIC)Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detailAbility to create process flow diagrams and SOP documentationExperience conducting cycle time studiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)Intermediate data analysis skills, including SQL and Tableau dashboard creationAbility to gather, interpret, and present data from multiple sourcesStrong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly learn new toolsAbility to simplify complex technical concepts for broader audiencesExperience with vendor coordination and management
