T&I provides shared platform, architecture, innovation and development services. Project assignments in this organization vary greatly depending on the business needs. At times, students may:Partner with senior design engineers to develop, modify, and implement software programsResearch and develop innovative algorithms to confront business challengesCreate documentation from independent research findings, including white papersPush the limits of our current software portfolios to expand our business into new areasStudents who co-op with this team are typically assigned to a cutting edge software concept, and are responsible for researching how this concept could be incorporated into the Siemens Software portfolioResearch topics have included: Full stack Development, Artificial Intelligence, etc.Organization RequirementsStudying for a Master of Science Computer EngineeringStrong coding skills in C, C++, JAVA, JavaScript, or HTMLUpper classman is preferred (with prior co-op experience)Student must be proactive, capable of setting their own timelines, able to work independently, and disciplinedRapidly learn new development languages and coding techniquesStrong knowledge of object-oriented programming is a mustUnderstand the concept of class and inheritance Sharp and tenacious trouble shooting skillsUnwaveringly passionate about solving technical challengesCreative, fast learnerIndependent thinker and self-motivated researcherAdaptable to new tasks with little lead timeWe are SiemensA collection of over 377,000 minds building the future, one day at a time in over 200 countries. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
