Becoming a Data Steward will be a unique opportunity to build this capability from the ground up, which will provide you with unique skillsets and experiences to further your development.In support of Tower data, the Data Steward plays a critical role in ensuring that foundational data—such as contract, sales & marketing, and order delivery — is consistently accurate, complete, and aligned across systems. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams including Assets, Supply Chain, and Finance to maintain data integrity and streamline workflows. By proactively identifying data quality issues, implementing governance standards, and enabling trusted reporting, the Data Steward helps drive operational efficiency, informed decision-making, and scalable growth across the Tower business.Relatable Experience For This RoleUnderstanding of data hierarchiesProven experience in a business role executing and implementing changeExperience in managing deliverables, tasks, and strategic initiatives while engaging with stakeholdersStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to present business & technical concepts to internal audiences of varying levels of the enterpriseSelf-directed teammate who can take high level direction and deliver against the objectiveThrive in a changing environment with the ability to solve problems, think abstractly, and deliver resultsKey ResponsibilitiesEnsure adherence to data management standards and data qualityOversee activities surrounding the data governance lifecycle (assess, define, govern, transform)Identify and drive resolution to data issues, maintain issue repository, and manage resolutionPerform audits to ensure data quality processes and policies are followed and identify data-related process improvement opportunitiesActively promote the use of accepted data definitions, common reference data, sound data usage practices, and data literacyEnhance and maintain data catalogEducation/CertificationsCollege degree in a technical field (computer science, engineering, life science) or equivalent work experienceExperience/Minimum Requirements3+ years of experience with working in data governance or business intelligenceHigh degree of initiative and capacity to lead multiple priorities of significant scopeSkillful in communicating and influencing a wide range of stakeholdersNew Skills and Experiences you will Gain in this Role:Exposure to data management toolsAbility to profile data and define proactive data quality rules for your domain(s)Implement Data Governance processes, policies, business rules, data quality rules, data definitions, data classifications, metadata, etc.Provide input to data quality issue prioritization and remediation plansInterpret and implement Data Governance processes, policies, business rules, data quality rules, data definitions, data classifications, metadata, etc.Support efforts to build metadata repositories, business glossary, data lineage, and training materialsEngage with the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) capability leads (Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Master Data Management) to ensure data quality assets alignEnsure alignment of the enterprise data governance processes and standards with relevant line of business data supportAdditional InformationThis role falls into our hybrid work model, which is 2-days work from home (Monday and Friday) and 3-days in the office (Tuesday through Thursday) to optimize collaboration, relationship building and key stakeholder engagement and may require some travel as needed.CompensationThe salary range offered for this position is $84000 - $115400 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
