Job Summary: A warehouse forklift driver is responsible for operating a forklift to transport and handle materials, goods, and ULDs within the warehouse. They must follow safety procedures, maintain equipment, and assist with various warehouse tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities: Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move and handle materials, pallets, and ULDs within the warehouse. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas, ensuring the safe and secure handling of goods. Material Handling: Move items to their designated storage locations, including stacking and organizing materials effectively. Inventory Management: Assist in keeping track of inventory by accurately recording and documenting materials movements. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating the forklift, and report any safety hazards or incidents. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition, and report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor. Warehouse Assistance: Assist with other warehouse tasks as required, such as picking and packing orders, conducting quality checks, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Communication: Communicate with warehouse staff, supervisors, and truck drivers to ensure efficient and coordinated operations. Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of materials movement and inventory levels. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Forklift certification and a valid forklift operator's license. Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or similar setting. Knowledge of forklift operation and safety procedures. Ability to operate forklifts of various types and sizes. Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects. Good communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to workplace safety. Work hours: M-F 1pm - 930pm (swing shift), weekend as needed.
