Production Supervisor

Shift Supervisor - Eutaw, AL Nightshift 7PM-7AM The Opportunity: Ensure the timely production of quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, all S.O.Ps, work instructions, and GMPs. Proactively manage departmental metrics that impact cost. Foster a team atmosphere, provide vision, and demonstrate support of the company’s core processes. This role reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the fulfillment of the plant objectives on their designated shift. How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock: * Ensures plant meets production and quality goals on a daily basis. * Identifies, documents and shares departmental metrics for Productivity, Safety, Quality, Waste and any other metrics required by the company. * Manage and adjust crewing of machines according to demands. * Manage employee performance by setting goals and consistently holding employees accountable for meeting performance standards. * Be conscious of employee needs and assist them with any issues/concerns and monitoring the culture. * Be conscious of all safety issues and concerns. * Ensure employment, safety and SQF compliance across shift. * Work with the department managers to help maintain procedures and processes supporting Performance Excellence. * Maintain 5S and housekeeping to standards set by management. * Utilize AS400, Plant Floor System and Microsoft Office. * Be a resource for the team and Lead by example.What You Need to Succeed: * Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Management or a related field * Interpersonal skills for leading and motivating employees. * 5-7 years of experience serving in a leadership role in a converting facility or manufacturing in general * Good written and oral communication skills. * Good knowledge of MS Office Applications * Understanding of converting & warehousing production equipment * Manages conflict effectively. * Organizational skills and attention to detail. * Understands the functions and capabilities of various departments and uses those resources effectively. * Owns issues and problems, seeing them through to resolution. * 3-5 years of experience serving as a manager or supervisor in a converting facility
