Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a growing company in Ottawa, IL, in search of a shipping/ receiving coordinator to join the growing team.Pay: $19.00 - $20.00/HRSchedule: Monday - Friday. 6:00am to 2:30pm or 7:00am to 3:30pm.Benefits: Health Dental Vision. Referral Program.Job Duties:WarehouseAssures all shipping/receiving activities proceed in a timely and accurate manner, including raw and packaging materials and customer returnsResponsible for computer entry and administrative management of incoming and outgoing materials, with ability to communicate internally as requiredEvaluates processes and recommends changes to enhance operationsAssure all shipping/receiving equipment is maintained and scheduled for routine maintenanceOperates forklift equipment safelyCommunicates appropriate freight costs to Customer Service/Accounting and management.Responsibilities for participation in maintaining and auditing GMP, HACCP, and SQF requirements.Assures Shipping/Receiving personnel adhere to all HACCP, SQF and other regulatory or third-party requirements for receipt of raw and packaging materialsShall support Food Safety Culture activities within the organization in support of Food Safety Management System in accordance with the Food Safety Code for Manufacture of Food PackagingAssures Shipping/Receiving is aware of and adheres to all import/export compliance issuesServes as liaison with manufacturing, engineering and customer service personnelNegotiates LTL and TL transportation rates for inbound and outbound salesInput incoming shipment information (receiving) into AXPurchasingReviews product min-max inventory requirements with production and customer Service each monthPurchase and maintain appropriate inventory of raw materials and packaging materials.Resin Control: Contacts resin supplier for orders and deliveries, while ensuring resin delivery feeds are appropriate; direct resin deliveries to appropriate silos; and maintain the required preventative maintenance of silos (cleaning schedule) and feeds from sameMaintain computerized inventory of raw material and packagingMaintain vendor relationships to ensure best quality, price and service; including vendor audits and maintenance of approved vendor listProvide inventory reports of daily, weekly, and monthly raw material, packaging material and finished goods as requiredOversees supply/demand planning for facilityShall acknowledge the Zip-Pak policy of requesting self-reporting of any illness, foodborne pathogens, or diseases which may be transmitted to food products and food contact surfaces that may jeopardize food safety.ShippingAssures shipments include proper and correct shipping documents and are included with shipmentsCoordinate upcoming ship dates with product availabilityReceive customer order and pull productPrepare for shipping, including required labelingCall transportation if neededLoad truckInput information into AX.Provides Leadership and day-to-day job expectations to Site Material Handlers2022IL
