Job DescriptionSummaryThe Clinic Manager (CM) is responsible for the oversight of the administration and operations of a medical disability examination (MDE) clinic. The CM is responsible for cultivating an environment that achieves the organization's mission through quality in care, efficiency, and a focus on core values. The CM manages the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of contractual requirements with the end goal of delivering quality the best experiences for the Veterans, staff, examiners, and communities served. The CM reports to their Area Manager (AM).Pay Rate : $97,406 / yearDuties and FunctionsOperational Responsibilities:Oversees daily clinic operations, including coordinating and planning work assignments of all clinic staffDetermines the frequency at which a task is performed and/or how much time is spent performing a taskCollaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure excellent quality, timeliness, and customer service throughout the entire Veteran experienceMaintains current calibration and sound level meter records of all equipment and the environmentOrders stock and supplies for the clinicManages the clinic's budget, office supply, and medical inventoryEnsures clinic supply and medical inventory is unexpiredConsistently audits the clinic to satisfy established operational and safety standards (e.g., expired supplies, annual fire inspections, refrigerator temperatures, sharp medical equipment disposal, equipment calibration, etc.)Reviews and analyzes clinic metrics to ensure client expectations are met and company goals are accomplished (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually)Executes additional relevant clinical or administrative duties as neededStaffing Responsibilities:Performs the hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations of clinic staff membersConducts periodic training with staff and implements all policies, procedures, goals, and objectivesProvides education and training on standard operating procedures, policies, medical equipment, and medical emergenciesMentors employees on professional growth and development opportunities in skills, knowledge, and empowermentCompletes one-on-one meetings on a weekly, bi-weekly, and quarterly basis with all staff on performance metrics and documents these results on performance reviewsApproves daily employee timekeepingAdditional Responsibilities:Informs medical professionals about updates to MDE requirementsEnsures on-site provider satisfaction through engagement and retention effortsEnsures compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other pertinent privacy regulationsEducation and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited college in a healthcare related field or equivalent experience/combined educationThree or more (3+) years of supervisory, leadership or management experienceCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) CertificationSuccessfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigationEducation and Experience PreferencesMaster's degree in a related fieldFour or more (4+) years of supervisory, leadership, or management experience, preferably in a general or internal medicine or occupational health work environmentCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) CertificationExperience in clinic operationsExperience in managing a healthcare clinic or facilityKnowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)Knowledge:Understanding of medical terminologyKnowledge of procuring supplies, equipment, and staff needed in a clinicCompetency with computer-based healthcare administration systemsSkills:Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeProficiency in managing budgets and negotiating with suppliers and vendorsExceptional interpersonal skills for interacting with Veterans, healthcare providers, and the publicExceptional organizational skillsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsPossess and demonstrate skills necessary to analyze data and informationDemonstrate a high standard of business ethics and integrityAbilities:Ability to supervise and motivate clinic staff to perform their duties efficientlyAbility to learn and understand new proprietary software applicationsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesCMs are responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, mentoring, timekeeping, and evaluating the performance of all clinic staff members. CMs supervise clinics, clinic staff, and the overall operations of all clinic-related assignments and goals. CMs oversee daily operations, including coordinating and planning work assignments for all clinic staff.Key CollaboratorsCMs regularly collaborate with AMs, clinic staff, medical examiners, examiner trainers, and VA MDE personnel.Physical DemandThe CM is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms. The CM is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The CM must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds .
