In this position...We are building a team of the world's best automotive, software and electrical talent, and turning them loose to create insanely great electric vehicles and digital experiences for new generations of customers.We are an agile team... leveraging rapidly evolving technology to innovate, fail fast and pivot.We create with passion delivering extraordinary solutions to change the world.You'll have...Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.Experience must include knowledge of non-linear analytical tools/software for root-causing and solving various automotive crash safety development related projects/assignments Developing full vehicle impact models using software ANSA, PRIMER, HYPERWORKS and simulating various crash/safety modes using LS Dyna Debugging models, root-cause performance issues, and identifying solutions or alternative options to address the issue (Ls-dyna, Nastran and Abaqus) Even better, you may have...Must be pro-active, leverage extensive experience with the 3DX platform to lead crucial daily interactions across disciplines, specifically engaging with CAE engineers and DRIs. This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $129,600-244,680. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week. #LI-Hybrid#LI-SE1 #UEVWhat you'll do...Work with Advanced Vehicle Safety/NVH/Durability teams to develop full vehicle/system finite element models for next-generation Vehicle Platform Architectures for electric vehicles. Perform structural safety analysis using LS-Dyna, Hyper works to assess vehicle crashworthiness for regulatory and third-party targets as required by USNCAP, FMVSS, Euro NCAP, ECE, and IIHS. Hands on capability creating full vehicle Nastran and Abaqus models. Correlate CAE performance with test results; and document best practices and lessons learned for future development. Responsible for safety finite element analysis of crash modes, ensuring innovative and optimized solutions Support quick concept development utilizing morphing tools to deliver new and emerging ideas. Support the creation of standard work procedures for delivering quality models and simulation results. Work in a cross-functional environment to identify and overcome technical challenges and meet requirements Be a part of the vision of engineering excellence and a source of knowledge. Participate in design reviews and present CAE model build status. Make recommendations to improve the model build/integration workflow.Full timePosting Date: 2026-03-20
