Concrete Foreman — Commercial ProjectsHood Construction | Columbia, SC | Full-Time | On-SiteAbout the RoleHood Construction is hiring an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead field crews on commercial building projects in the Columbia area. You'll direct concrete operations from footings and foundations through flatwork and vertical placements, ensuring every pour meets Hood's standards for quality, safety, and schedule.What You'll DoSupervise and direct concrete crews on commercial construction sitesOversee all phases of concrete work including foundations, slabs, walls, columns, and flatworkRead and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and project specificationsCoordinate with project superintendents, subcontractors, and inspectors to maintain scheduleMonitor concrete mix designs, placement methods, and curing proceduresInspect formwork, rebar placement, and embedments prior to poursEnforce jobsite safety standards and OSHA regulationsTrack daily production, document field reports, and communicate progress to project managementIdentify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays or reworkWhat You Bring5+ years of experience in commercial concrete work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleDemonstrated knowledge of concrete forming systems, reinforcing, and finishing techniquesAbility to read and interpret structural drawings and project specificationsStrong understanding of ACI standards, building codes, and jobsite safety requirementsProven ability to manage crews, coordinate with other trades, and maintain production schedulesEffective communication and problem-solving skillsValid driver's license and reliable transportationACI Flatwork Finisher certification or equivalent a plusCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive wages based on experienceHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) with generous company matchPaid time off and paid holidaysOngoing training and professional developmentOur WorkHood Construction builds across healthcare, education, hospitality, municipal, and historic renovation projects — delivering quality work that serves the communities where we live and work.Hood Construction is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive, respectful workplace for all.
