Avian / Exotics VeterinarianWe are looking for an experienced Avian / Exotic Veterinarian to join our team at Lange Animal Hospital! We are ideally seeking an experienced veterinarian who is interested in seeing avian and exotic patients exclusively. If you'd prefer some cat and dog appointments, we can accommodate that in your schedule. Whether you're looking for family-friendly neighborhoods, a lower cost of living, a welcoming community, or weekend getaways in the mountains, Knoxville is a great place to grow your career and enjoy a relaxed lifestyle.What We Offer At Our Practice:Experienced DVM team dedicated to providing exceptional care while supporting professional growth and career developmentWork alongside leaders in the field, including Dr. Michael Jones, DVM, DABVP, providing specialized, compassionate, and comprehensive care to avian and exotic patientsA suite of services: acupuncture, adult and senior wellness, annual exams, dermatology, in-house diagnostics, internal medicine, online pharmacy, preventative medicine, routine and advanced pet dentistry, surgery, ultrasound and vaccinationsEquipment: digital and dental radiography, in-house diagnostic capabilities, diagnostic ultrasound, acupuncture, and laser therapySkilled, tenured, and experienced support staffCollaborative, fun, and encouraging cultureOur Ideal Candidate:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalentAVBP Board Certification or desire to work towards certification in Avian, Zoological Medicine, Small Mammal, Reptile or AmphibianExperience conducting various types of surgeries, vaccinations and health checks on Avian, Exotic and Pocket PetsAn outgoing, client-focused, compassionate veterinarian who loves collaborating within a team environmentStrong communicator who models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clientsBenefits:Pro/Sal compensation: $75k -$120k base salary with generous production with no negative accrual (negotiable), dependent on experience and scheduleSign-on bonusRelocation assistance401(k) Retirement Plan and 2% company matchPaid parental leaveMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off - increases annually!CE Allowance ($5,000 a year and 4 days of CE specific PTO for Boarded Specialists or $2,500 a year and 3 days of CE specific PTO for Full-Time Veterinarians (GP DVMs))We pay 100% of Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Membership Dues and State Licensure FeesNo state income tax!About Lange Animal HospitalLange Animal Hospital, in Knoxville, TN, is a full-service small animal veterinary clinic, providing veterinary services to dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, pocket pets, and reptiles.
