Our state-of-the-art facility includes sophisticated robotic equipment, in-house detailing, blasting and painting, including finish coatings.Position SummaryMaterial Handlers are responsible for keeping material moving through congested areas in the shop. They will be assigned to specific areas and will report to the Foreman of that area. A Material handler will be responsible for transfer operation, material flipping, moving material with forklifts/cranes, and finding specific materials needed as well.Essential FunctionsAbility to operate multiple forklift types – Sit down, Combi-Lift, Lull, Straddle CarrierAbility to read and interpret a tape measureAble to identify various types and sizes of materialsMust learn how to read a “Steel book” and interpretAble to listen and prioritize several projects at onceMinimum RequirementsTeam Player with solid communication skills.Ability to operate multiple forklift types – Sit down, Combi-LiftObserve company safety policy while workingPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb and crawl over and under fabricated materials.Work extensive hours in a semi and non-climate environment.Physical ability to lift, push and carry up to 50 pounds.QualificationsDISCLAIMERThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
