Associate – Business Development (Draper, UT)OverviewScalar is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Associate of Business Development to join our team in Draper, Utah. This individual will play a key role in driving revenue growth by sourcing new valuation opportunities across private and public companies, institutional investors, and professional service firms (e.g., attorneys, auditors, and investment professionals).This is a high-impact, client-facing role suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and are motivated by performance-based compensation. Key ResponsibilitiesProactively source new business opportunities through outbound outreach and relationship developmentBuild and maintain relationships with C-level executives, founders, and key decision-makersDevelop and expand referral networks with channel partners, including attorneys, auditors, and investment firmsIdentify cross-selling opportunities within Scalar's existing client baseCollaborate with internal teams to develop, tailor, and deliver client proposals and presentationsConsistently execute against individual and firm-wide revenue goalsMaintain a high level of activity, organization, and pipeline management QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in a consultative or value-based selling environmentExperience within a professional services firm or related industry is preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior-level executivesDemonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationshipsSelf-starter with a high degree of accountability, initiative, and driveAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environmentProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointFamiliarity with and ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar platforms) to enhance productivity, research, and outreach effectivenessWillingness to travel as needed CompensationCompetitive base salary plus commission, performance-based bonuses, and benefits package.
