Quality EngineerResponsibilities The Quality Engineer is responsible for resolving manufacturing and shipment issues related to customer specifications while supporting quality system requirements and continuous improvement initiatives. This role drives root cause and corrective action activities, supports documentation and quality manual maintenance, partners with cross-functional teams, and ensures product and process integrity. The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in strengthening customer confidence, improving manufacturing outcomes, and enabling long-term quality performance.Compensation and Benefits Starting pay: $70,000+ annuallyMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) savings plan with employer matchPaid time off including vacation, holidays, and sick leaveLife insurance and employee assistance programsOngoing training, professional development, and certification supportKey Responsibilities Resolve manufacturing and shipment issues related to customer specifications and product quality requirements.Conduct investigations to determine root cause and implement corrective actions for assigned components.Support the administration and maintenance of quality manuals, procedures, and documentation.Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance and reduce variation.Provide technical support to operations, engineering, planning, and leadership on quality-related matters.Perform data analysis and dimensional review activities to assess compliance and identify trends.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address quality concerns and ensure alignment with customer expectations.Support audits, process reviews, and adherence to quality system standards.Drive problem-solving activities using structured methodologies.Support APQP/PPAP activities and preparation of required documentation.Maintain strong communication channels across teams to support consistent quality performance.Drive continuous improvement to strengthen product reliability and process capability.Job Roles Systems thinker – Understands interconnected processes and anticipates downstream impacts on quality.Analytical expert – Uses data, measurement, and root cause analysis to solve problems with precision.Collaborator – Works effectively across departments; supports alignment between quality, operations, engineering, and customers.Influence through expertise – Communicates the “why” behind quality requirements; gains buy-in through clarity and rationale.Continuous improvement advocate – Seeks opportunities to eliminate variation, reduce scrap, and strengthen processes.Detail-oriented – Maintains accurate records; ensures compliance; follows through on corrective action commitments.Customer-focused – Understands customer specifications, quality expectations, and the business impact of performance.Qualifications Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institutionLegally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar discipline3 years of Quality and/or Engineering experience with strong analytical, dimensional, and technical skillsWorking knowledge of quality system standards such as AS9100 or NADCAPDemonstrated proficiency in root cause and corrective action methodologiesExperience using structured problem-solving tools (such as 8D)Experience with APQP and PPAP processesASQ certifications (CQA, CQE) preferredExperience in aerospace or automotive environmentsStrong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skillsStrong PC skills and commitment to continuous improvement
