IT Project Manager Food Manufacturing

The IT Project Manager is responsible for theend-to-end delivery of large-scale, cross-functional IT projects , including but not limited toERP, WMS, MES, data integration, infrastructure, and manufacturing systems . The role requireshands-on project leadership , the ability to translate business needs intoclear functional and technical requirements , and proven success managing risk, budget, timelines, and stakeholder expectations in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Project Leadership & Delivery
Own full project lifecycle:intake, requirements, design, funding, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization
Leadmultiple concurrent IT projectswith minimal supervision
Ensure projects deliver measurable business outcomes tied to operational efficiency, compliance, and scalability
Serve as the primary point of accountability for project success
Technical & Functional Requirements
Develop and maintaindetailed functional and technical specifications , including system workflows, integrations, data flows, and dependencies
Partner closely with IT teams, vendors, and business owners to ensure solutions aretechnically sound and operationally viable
Demonstrate working knowledge ofmanufacturing systemssuch as ERP, WMS, MES, EDI, labeling, automation, and reporting platforms
Understand and managesystem integrations , data accuracy, and end-to-end process impacts
Stakeholder Communication & Governance
Create and deliverclear, concise project status reportingto project teams, business stakeholders, and executive sponsors
Proactively identify, communicate, and escalaterisks, constraints, and resource conflicts
Facilitate decision-making by presenting options, tradeoffs, and recommendations backed by data
Schedule, Risk & Financial Management
Develop, own, and actively managedetailed project schedules
Identify potential bottlenecks, operational risks, and technology constraints early
Build and manageproject budgets , including business cases, funding approvals, monthly forecasts, and variance explanations
Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and governance standards
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate across IT infrastructure, applications, security, operations, quality, finance, and external vendors
Ensure IT solutions align withmanufacturing workflows, food safety requirements, and regulatory expectations
Support change management and adoption efforts in an onsite production environment
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related technical field (required)
Graduate degree or formal certification inProject Management, Information Systems, or Technology Management (preferred)
IT & Project Management Experience
Minimum 35 years of direct IT project management experience , with documented success delivering complex technology projects
Hands-on experience managing enterprise IT implementations(ERP, WMS, MES, or similar manufacturing systems)
Demonstrated use offormal project management methodologies(PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
Proven ability to independently manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and vendor performance
Strong understanding ofmanufacturing IT environments , including system integrations and data flows
Technical Competencies
Solid understanding of:
ERP / WMS / MES systems
Data integration and system interoperability
IT infrastructure and application dependencies
Manufacturing and operational technology constraints
Ability to translate business requirements intoclear technical deliverables

Additional Requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the role
Successful completion of interview process required
Salary range:$85,000 $120,000 annually
