Business Analyst - Equity Algo Trading

Guided by our core values of closeness, teamwork, diversity, and excellence, our team of 1,000 expert consultants, representing 35 different nationalities, collaborates across 10 international offices: Paris, Lyon, New York, Montreal, London, Brussels, Geneva, Lisbon, Porto and Casablanca.About the RoleWe are looking for a Business Analyst specialized in Algo Trading and Real-Time Trading Applications to support an Equity trading environment within a leading investment bank.You will work closely with Traders, Quant/Strats, and IT teams to enhance and maintain low-latency, real-time trading applications, ensuring stability, performance, and rapid delivery of functional improvements.This is a highly interactive Front Office-facing role requiring strong market understanding, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive requirements from trading desks into scalable solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the Business Analyst interface between Equity traders, Quants/Strats, and Technology teamsGather, structure, and document business requirements for algo trading strategies and real-time trading toolsTranslate trading needs into functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteriaSupport enhancements on real-time trading applications (order entry, pricing, execution, monitoring, alerts)Contribute to the specification and implementation of:Algo execution flows (VWAP, TWAP, POV, Implementation Shortfall, Smart Routing, etc.)Market data consumption & normalizationPre-trade controls and post-trade analyticsRisk/limits, compliance checks, kill-switch, and safety mechanismsParticipate in UAT, define test scenarios, and validate outputs with the businessSupport production topics: incident triage, functional analysis, priority definition, and communicationWork with stakeholders to optimize latency-sensitive flows, scalability, and system reliabilityBuild and maintain functional documentation and training materials for end-usersRequired Skills & Experience7+ years experience as a Business Analyst in Front Office / Trading environmentsStrong knowledge of Equity markets and electronic tradingSolid understanding of algo trading & execution workflowsExperience working on real-time applications and trading tools supporting low-latency executionStrong ability to interact with:TradersQuantitative teams / StratsDevelopers and production supportExcellent analytical skills: ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and propose solutionsVery good documentation skills: BRD / FSD / user stories, process flowsComfortable in fast-paced environments and able to handle critical production situations
