Job Title - Labor & Employment Litigation Legal AssistantCompany Location - Los Angeles, CA100% On-site, Non-ExemptFull Time, Direct HireSalary $90k, DOEWork Schedule 9am to 5:30pm**** IMMEDIATE HIRE ****Job Summary of the Labor & Employment Litigation Legal Assistant positionIntegr8staff seeks an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support the transactional business litigation practices for a progressive, highly regarded and continually growing law firm in Los Angeles, CA.Responsibilities of the Labor & Employment Litigation Legal Assistant positionFormatting, proofreading, redlining, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, scanning, and transmitting legal documents for labor & employment cases.Prepare pleadings and discovery documents for filing and serviceSchedule depositions with attorneys, clients, witnesses, and court reporterse-Filing - State and FederalManage and plan calendar of all appointments, conferences and meetingsDaily review and prioritization of client correspondence and communicationsCreate pleading/discovery binders, indexing and filing documents, organize and file case documents.Client Intakes, editing contracts and handling mailingsSchedule conference calls and on-site/off-site meetingsPrepare draft engagement and confirming letters as neededPrepare and submit new matters; change intakes for existing matters concerning adverse parties and billing contact and other information and collaborate as neededPrepare and submit preliminary conflict checks on behalf of the PartnerArrange and coordinate travel arrangementsAssists with overflow work and other projects assignedMaintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidentialProvide overflow support to the Labor & Employment Department and assistattorneys and Legal Assistants firmwide, as needed.Requirements of the Labor & Employment Litigation Legal Assistant positionMinimum of 3 yrs. of labor & employment litigation experience.Experience with federal, state, and appellate court filing rules and procedures with a strong litigation backgroundExcellent administrative, follow-up, initiative, and organizational skills are required.e-Filing and calendaring experienceCalendaring using CompuLaw, experience with iManageKnowledge of preparing tables of contents and authorities.Excellent proofreading and writing skills, and great attention to detailExcellent typing, formatting, and computer software skills neededKnowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and iManage or similar document management systemPrior experience supporting Labor & Employment matters strongly preferred, including familiarity with Class Action, PAGA, and Wage & Hour matters.Knowledge of Table of Content & Table of Authority, CompuLaw, Best Authority, Kofax, and CCC Macros is a plusBachelor's Degree preferred
