This role requires deep expertise in capital markets technology, high-performance systems, and regulatory-compliant platforms. The candidate will drive innovation, ensure system reliability, and align technology initiatives with business growth in a fast-paced stock broking environment.Key Responsibilities Technology LeadershipLead core technology teams responsible for trading platforms, order management systems (OMS), and risk systemsDefine and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business strategyEnsure high availability, low latency, and scalability of trading systems Platform Development & ArchitectureArchitect and oversee development of robust, secure, and high-performance systemsOptimize trading infrastructure for real-time data processing and executionEnsure seamless integration with exchanges, depositories, and third-party APIs Operational ExcellenceEnsure 99.9%+ uptime for trading platforms and mission-critical systemsImplement monitoring, alerting, and incident management frameworksDrive continuous improvement in system performance and reliability Regulatory & ComplianceEnsure systems adhere to regulations set by SEBI and stock exchanges (NSE, BSE)Maintain audit trails, data security, and compliance reporting systemsWork closely with compliance and risk teams Team ManagementLead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering teamFoster a culture of innovation, accountability, and agilityManage vendor relationships and external technology partners Stakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with product, operations, and business teams to deliver solutionsTranslate business requirements into scalable technical solutionsProvide regular updates to senior leadershipKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of capital markets and trading lifecycleExpertise in low-latency system design and distributed architectureProficiency in technologies such as Java, Python, C++, microservices, and cloud platformsExperience with FIX protocol, market data feeds, and algorithmic trading systemsStrong understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and risk systemsExcellent leadership and stakeholder management skillsQualificationsBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldMBA or equivalent (preferred)Experience Required10–15+ years of experience in technology roles within stock broking, trading firms, or fintechProven experience in leading large-scale trading platforms or financial systemsPrior experience in a leadership role (AVP/VP level preferred)Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)System uptime and performance (latency benchmarks)Successful delivery of technology initiativesCompliance adherence and audit outcomesTeam productivity and retentionInnovation and cost optimization
