Production Supervisor - AssemblyMajor established and brand name company has an opportunity for a third shift Production Supervisor - Assembly not far from Savannah, GA at a high volume larger plant. In this role will coordinate the effective use of equipment, facilities, team members and skill sets in order to meet all safety, quality, delivery and cost requirements for a group of departments and/or multiple shifts. Major company benefits are associated with this as well as relocation assistance.Job ResponsibilitiesWill develop, train and motivate team members to achieve desired safety, efficiency, proficiency, cooperation and morale; Will maintain awareness of plant and/or engineering policies and procedures and ensure employee adherence; may recommend and/or implement new plant policies and proceduresWill analyze potential production problems (delays, material shortages, equipment repairs, etc.) and devise and implement procedures to minimize lost time due to these occurrencesWill review operational schedules, coordinate production/testing activities, and manage team member assignments; may manage for multiple departments and/or shiftsWill assist with tasks such as monitoring and determining manufacturing costs and outlay, quality and quantity of goods produced, production methods, tooling applications and ensures the effective use of production hours, skills, machines, equipment and facilitiesWill interact with engineers to modify machines, equipment and/or processes to improve safety, production and overall quality; provide liaison support between plant and engineering to ensure efficient manufacturing processesWill use data to estimate work-hour requirements and departmental efficiencies for continuous improvement projects.
