CNC Operator/Programmer

CNC Programmer/Operator Location: Columbus, OH Job Type: Full-Time Laird Plastics is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator to join our team. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong machining background who can program, set up, and operate CNC equipment while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities: Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and related machining equipment. Create and edit programs using G-Code. Set up jobs from drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate production. Design and build fixtures to improve efficiency, repeatability, and quality. Perform tool selection, setup, and machine calibration. Inspect finished parts to verify dimensional accuracy and quality requirements. Troubleshoot machining and programming issues and recommend process improvements. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Qualifications: Experience programming and operating Haas CNC Mills or similar CNC machining equipment. Strong knowledge and proficiency in G-Code programming. Experience with complete job setup, including tooling, workholding, and fixture development. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CAD/CAM software. Knowledge of multiple machining operations and materials. Experience in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment.
