Systems Engineer - Data & Analytics
DescriptionDarkStar Intelligence is seeking a System Engineer to support analytical engineering, data analysis, and system modeling activities across mission-critical systems and enterprise environments. The System Engineer provides technical expertise supporting data-driven system analysis, requirements development, system architecture modeling, and analytical evaluation of complex systems. This role works closely with government stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to translate mission requirements into technical solutions using analytical methods, modeling techniques, and system performance analysis. The System Engineer supports the full system lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture modeling, integration planning, testing, and performance evaluation. Responsibilities include conducting technical and quantitative analysis, developing system models, supporting architecture frameworks, and providing insights that inform engineering decisions and improve mission system performance.ResponsibilitiesExperience performing system requirements analysis and translating operational requirements into technical solutionsExperience supporting data analysis, system modeling, or analytical evaluation of complex systemsExperience analyzing system performance metrics, operational data, or technical datasets to inform engineering decisionsExperience supporting system architecture development and engineering documentationExperience conducting technical analysis, modeling, or trade studies to evaluate system capabilities and performanceExperience supporting system integration, testing, and verification activitiesExperience supporting system lifecycle engineering activities including requirements development, architecture design, integration, and sustainmentExperience developing or analyzing system architectures using engineering frameworks such as DoDAFExperience collaborating with engineering teams, analysts, and government stakeholdersExperience developing technical reports, analytical documentation, or engineering assessmentsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Fourteen (14) years of demonstrated experience supporting systems engineering, analytical engineering, or technical analysis activities within complex enterprise or mission systems environments.TS/SCI polygraph Desired Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) programsExperience performing data analysis using tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, or similar analytical platformsExperience developing system models, simulations, or performance analysis toolsExperience supporting system architecture modeling using DoDAF or model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approachesExperience analyzing large datasets or operational performance data to support mission systemsExperience supporting cybersecurity, information assurance, or secure system architecturesExperience supporting engineering trade studies, system performance optimization, or mission analysisSalary Range$190,000 - $220,000 per year This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of specific compensation or salary.
