None,Run Club Coordinator (Volunteer)PromiseWellness | Community Health & WellnessOrganization Mentor A Promise (MAP)Location Global (Worldwide Participation) with NYC-Based CoordinationType VolunteerReports To Program Leadership / Executive LeadershipAbout Mentor A PromiseMentor A Promise (MAP) is a New York City–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and youth experiencing housing instability through mentorship, education, and community-based programming.Position SummaryThe Run Club Coordinator will support the development and implementation of MAP’s Run Club, a wellness-focused initiative designed to promote physical activity, mental well-being, and community engagement.This role includes coordinating NYC-based runs as well as supporting globally coordinated participation, allowing individuals and communities worldwide to organize and participate in local runs aligned with MAP’s mission.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate regular Run Club sessions in New York CitySupport the development of a structure for globally coordinated runs, enabling participation across different locationsAssist in scheduling, communication, and coordination of meeting points and run logisticsPromote an inclusive and welcoming environment for participants of all fitness levelsEncourage participation in wellness-focused activities that support physical and mental healthCollaborate with internal teams to align Run Club activities with broader program goalsSupport basic tracking of participation and engagementAssist with the collection of photos and videos for program visibility and outreach effortsEncourage participants to represent the organization through appropriate branding (e.g., MAP apparel)QualificationsInterest in wellness, fitness, or community-based programmingStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to coordinate activities and engage participantsComfortable supporting in-person activities (NYC) and remote/global coordinationAbility to work collaboratively in a mission-driven environmentPrior experience in fitness, event coordination, or community engagement is a plus, but not requiredCommitmentPreferred 3–6 month commitmentWeekly or biweekly involvement in coordination and/or run activitiesFlexibility to support both local (NYC) and global participationImportant NoticeThis is a volunteer position and does not provide compensation or guarantee future employment.
