Donation Coordinator: Full time- Evening Shift

Birth Biologic is a Public Cord Blood & Perinatal Tissue Donation program that is working to create a new standard in birth tissue donation to ensure the continued advancement of medicine in this field. The primary objective is recovery and placement of these valuable cells and tissues to be utilized for medical treatments and advancements. We are currently seeking an individual that is genuine, compassionate, and mission driven to coordinate the daily recovery of cord blood and birth tissue. The Donation Coordinator will perform daily duties at various hospital sites, in a clinical environment by initiating contact with potential donors and providing education/guidance on the donor process. The Coordinator will obtain required consent, determine donor suitability based on approved guidelines, ensure aseptic collection/handling of tissue, and maintain a positive/professional relationship with hospital staff and donors. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in working as part of a team of professionals dedicated to on-going learning with one another in a collaborative style. This person must possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills as well as a positive and professional attitude demonstrating a passion for donation. Interested applicants may have experience in the funeral industry or in a healthcare setting such as CNA or Medical Assistant as well as exemplary customer service skills. Ideal availability for the positions being considered range from 5:00 am - 11:00 pm Sunday through Friday (some Saturday) with some variance in the schedule based on needs of the program. Responsibilities include: Communication with medical staff and coordination of services Providing information and education to expectant parents about perinatal tissue donation .
