Title: Manager, PayrollDescriptionLocation: OnsiteStatus Type: Full TimeQualificationsRequired:Knowledge of payroll, including compliance and payroll taxMust be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members as neededMust be a detail-oriented individual who is highly organized and willing to work in a fast paced and constantly evolving environmentA minimum of 8-10 years of payroll experiencePreferredBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant fieldExperience in a manufacturing and multi-shift environment preferredExperience in SAP and PaycorSkills & CompetenciesWorking knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., Paycor, Paylocity, ADP, Success Factors)Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, particularly Excel (formulas, functions, data sets, etc)Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll softwareProven experience as a payroll lead or similar roleAbility to handle a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, and prioritize effectivelyAbility to independently adapt behaviors and strategies to deal with emergent, non-routine and dynamic components of the jobAn analytical mind with good math skillsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of timeAbility to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as printer, telephone, etc.Position requires being physically present on the premises during regular company hours or as approved by managementResponsibilitiesEnters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ rates, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other informationEnsures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other deductionsIssues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final dischargeOversee federal and state payroll tax compliance including form filing, deposits and setupProcess annual payroll compliance and other documents (e.g., W-2 and tax forms)Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in orderCoordinate with HR about changes in payroll (e.g., terminations, new hires)Process other financial compensations or deductions (e.g., bonuses, severance pay, taxes, worker’s compensation)Reconciles payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements including working with Treasury/Finance to ensure accurate and proper banking transactionsSupport benefit programs with deduction calculations, deduction setup, invoice payment and journal entry postingManage the 401k plan including day to day administration, annual reporting and compliance, annual audit process, any governmental inquiries, and updates for to the plan.Support headcount budget/forecasting and tracking against actual resultsProduce reports to upper management upon requestAnswer employee questions about salaries and paymentsWork with authorities (e.g., IRS) on audits or requestsOther Accounting team tasks as requiredNearest Major Market: Cincinnati
