Plant Controller

We’re partnered with a global manufacturing organization undergoing a major U.S. expansion, supporting next-generation technologies within the automotive and energy supply chain.
They are seeking aPlant Controllerto join a newly developing site in Columbia, SC. This is a high-impact, on-site role offering the opportunity to build and shape the finance function from the ground up during a critical phase of plant ramp-up.The Opportunity
The site is currently in the early stages of production setup, with lines being installed and operations ramping. This role will serve as thefinancial lead for plant operations , partnering directly with site leadership to establish processes, improve visibility into cost drivers, and support operational decision-making. You’ll play a key role in transitioning from a shared services model to a fully embedded, plant-facing finance function.Key Responsibilities
Act as thefinance lead for site operations , partnering closely with plant leadership
Owncost accounting and standard costing processesfor the facility
Analyzeproduction costs, labor efficiency, and operational variances
Build and implementfinancial processes, controls, and reporting structures
Provide insights intocost drivers, performance trends, and operational KPIs
Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning for the plant
Drive continuous improvement across finance and operationsWhat They’re Looking For
5–7+ years of experience inmanufacturing finance or accounting
Strong background incost accounting and standard costing
Experience in anautomotive, OEM, or Tier 1 manufacturing environment(required)
Proven ability to partner withplant or operations leadership
Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable in afast-paced, build environmentAdditional Details
Compensation: $130,000 – $140,000 base + bonus
Schedule: 5 days/week on-site
