Operations Accountant

About the Role Are you an accountant who thrives on being part of the action? We are seeking an Operations Accountant to serve as the financial cornerstone for our Service Center. This is a unique, high-impact role where you aren’t just managing a ledger—you are the financial heartbeat of our day-to-day operations. You will work closely with service technicians, visit customer sites, and bridge the gap between field activity and financial profitability. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Analysis Manage the full cycle of invoicing, pricing, and profitability analysis for contracts and sales orders. Lead month-end activities, including journal entries, financial tracking, and P&L reporting. Conduct audits of Customer Maintenance Contracts to ensure renewal pricing is aligned with market and internal standards. Oversee collections and explain financial variances to leadership. Operational Integration & Efficiency Service Coordination: Manage the reconciliation of quoted hours versus actual hours worked for Service Technicians. Scheduling & Quoting: Actively participate in quoting job orders and assisting with service technician scheduling to maximize efficiency. Process Optimization: Streamline financial workflows and collaborate on inventory reconciliation. Field Engagement: Visit customer sites as needed to better understand project scope and strengthen client relationships. Qualifications Education: Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing or service environment is a plus. Technical Skills: * Expert-level MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data visualization). Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and the MS Office Suite is preferred. Travel: Must be willing to travel to North Carolina for one week of initial training, with the possibility of attending quarterly meetings.
