We cut across all sectors of the populations and the need seems to be increasing not decreasing in people needing our help.,Animal House Project / SafeHaven Animal Rescue TeamPosition OverviewAnimal House Project is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated volunteer to serve as a Rescue Adoption Coordinator. This vital role helps connect homeless animals with loving forever families while ensuring adopters receive guidance, communication, and support throughout the adoption process.The Adoption Coordinator serves as one of the primary points of contact for potential adopters and plays a key role in helping rescued animals find safe, appropriate, and loving homes.Key ResponsibilitiesAnimal Marketing & PromotionTake quality photos and videos of adoptable animalsCreate engaging adoption biographies and social media postsPost animals on adoption websites, rescue platforms, Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, Facebook, and other approved channelsShare updates, success stories, and adoption announcementsAdoption Application ManagementReview and organize incoming adoption applicationsRespond to inquiries from interested adopters in a timely and professional mannerConduct phone/email interviews with applicantsAssist with reference checks and landlord verification when requiredHelp determine appropriate adopter matches based on the animal’s needs and temperamentAdopter CommunicationAnswer questions regarding available animals, adoption process, medical care, temperament, and expectationsMaintain communication with applicants throughout the processCoordinate meet-and-greet appointments and adoption eventsProvide adoption follow-up support when neededRescue CoordinationWork closely with foster homes, rescue volunteers, transporters, and veterinary partnersMaintain organized records of applications, adoptions, and communicationsHelp track adoption status and ensure paperwork is completed properlyEvent & Community SupportAssist at adoption events and community outreach activities when availableHelp represent Animal House Project and SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team professionally and compassionatelyIdeal Volunteer SkillsStrong communication and people skillsCompassion for animals and people alikeOrganized and detail-orientedComfortable using email, social media, and online adoption platformsAbility to multitask and respond professionally under pressureBasic photography/social media experience is helpful but not requiredPrior rescue or animal welfare experience preferred, but not mandatoryTime CommitmentFlexible volunteer opportunity with in-person responsibilities.
