Process EngineerLocation: Austin, TXJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations through process optimization, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing process development, root cause analysis, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), CAD, and technical documentation. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and process reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and improve manufacturing process documentation, process flow diagrams, and engineering records.Investigate manufacturing issues using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) efforts to improve product quality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.Create, update, and maintain CAD drawings, engineering documentation, and manufacturing specifications.Develop and revise work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other controlled technical documents.Support process validation, qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance.Train production personnel on new processes, procedures, and best manufacturing practices.Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, design engineering, and operations teams to improve process capability and product quality.Monitor manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.Strong experience developing process documentation, manufacturing workflows, and technical documentation.Hands-on experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and manufacturing process optimization.Proficiency with CAD software for engineering drawings and documentation.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Familiarity with process validation, risk assessments, and quality management systems.Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
