Job Summary and Qualifications As a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath Lab registered nurse you will provide assistance with all invasive cardiac, vascular and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. In this role: You will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that take place in the cath lab. These procedures include but are not limited to: cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker, tilt-table, angioplasty, stent, dialysis catheter, nephrostomy and ureteral tube, IVC filter, IABP, pericardiocentesis, and stress testing procedures. You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care. You will appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication. You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room. You will manage emergent cases. You will maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records and complete all paperwork associated with these procedures. You will prepare tests for physician interpretation. What qualifications you will need: Current State of Idaho RN license in good standing Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred 1 years of Cath Lab experience preferred American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within six months of hire Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support or obtain within 90 days of date of hire Benefits Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
