For more information, refer to Required Documents below.The Nurse Recruiter is responsible for providing proficient, evidence-based practices in relation to recruitment and retention for a facility. Responsible and accountable for all elements of nursing recruitment and retention processes, demonstrating proficient decision making skills for complex situations that effect performance outcomes.Major Duties include, but are not limited to:Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing recruitment processes based on specific components.Participates in recruitment and retention programs and other aspects related to the maintenance of a highly competent workforce for the facility.Functions as a collaborator in assisting the improvement processes, programs, resources, and services related to recruitment and retention.Maintains databases, prepares, reports, and works collaboratively with others to assess variances andproject needs.* Works collaboratively with nursing administration, leadership, and Human Resources (HR) Management Service tomeet resource needs.Serves as the key member in delivering and improving the processes of recruitment, onboarding, and retention of Registered Nurses (RNs).Uses nursing practice, clinical knowledge, and data to assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate recruitment and retention efforts of nursing staff.Identify highly qualified talent for their facilities who aligns with the mission of caring for Veterans.Utilizes clinical knowledge, skills, and abilities to personalize the experience for the candidate, improve the recruitment and retention experience for all stakeholders' and deliver compassionate nurses ready to provide care.Will seek to develop strategic partnership with internal (facility leadership, current nursing staff, HR) and external (colleges, universities, associations) stakeholders to garner an applicable pipeline of candidates.Has knowledge and experience of the candidate requirements and will clarify information to ensure a best fit for the candidate and the organization.Responsible for analysis of recruitment and retention data to assist the facility with development of nursing workforce strategies and initiatives.VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total RewardsPay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awardsPaid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VAInsurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territoryWork Schedule: Full Time, 40 Hours a week, 0730-1600Telework: Not AvailableVirtual: This is not a virtual position.Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not AuthorizedPermanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized
