Keeley is a career destination with countless opportunities for advancement, and a world-class family culture that is centered around creating the best possible environment for our people to thrive.Keeley Construction is looking to add an experienced Subcontracts Specialist to our Procurement Group in St. Louis, MO.The Subcontract Specialist is responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of subcontracts, including the development, issuance, negotiation, and administration of subcontracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Work Orders (WOs). This role ensures subcontracting activities are commercially sound, contractually compliant, and aligned with project execution, cost control, and risk mitigation objectives.Reporting to the Procurement Director and working closely with the Contracts Manager, this position serves as a critical link between Procurement, Contracts, and Project Teams. The Subcontract Specialist facilitates the transition from buyout to execution by ensuring scopes are clearly defined, contract terms align with prime contract requirements, and commitments are in place prior to the start of work.The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience in construction subcontract administration, strong understanding of contract language and risk allocation, and the ability to manage multiple subcontract workflows in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This individual is detail oriented, collaborative, and capable of supporting contract negotiations, reviewing redlines, and enforcing standardized subcontracting processes across project.Primary ResponsibilitiesDraft, issue, and execute subcontracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Work Orders (WOs), Amendments, and Change Orders in accordance with company standardsEnsure commitments are in place prior to starting work or materials being releasedAdminister the full subcontract lifecycle, including amendments, change orders, and closeout documentationMaintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready subcontract filesCoordinate redlines between subcontractors, Procurement Director, and Contracts Manager to ensure alignment with company risk standardsEnsure all subcontract language includes appropriate prime contract flow-down provisionsVerify subcontractor compliance requirements, including:Certifications of Insurance (COIs) through TrustLayerBonds or approved bond waiversPrequalification status (CMiC)Support invoice validation through GC Pay for all subcontract, WO’s and Change OrdersEnter and manage all subcontracts and Wos in ERP system (CMiC)Coordinate with project teams to maintain accurate commitment values and budget alignment. Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred)2–5 years of experience in subcontract administration, procurement, or contracts within heavy industrial or commercial constructionWorking knowledge of ERP systems (CMiC, SAP, Procore, or similar)Strong understanding of construction contract language and risk allocationFamiliarity with subcontractor prequalification, compliance workflows, and subcontract negotiation and redlining processes with the ability to read, interpret, and negotiate contract languageExperience with MSA and Work Order structuresHigh attention to detail with strong contract accuracyOrganized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesEOE/AA M/F/Disabled/VetAll Keeley Brands (Keeley Construction Group, Keeley Properties, Keeley Restoration, Keeley Companies) do not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms, headhunters, or agencies.
