Mechanical Assembler

ClearStaff in Villa Park are in search of candidates with a background in mechanical assembly for our client located in St. Charles, IL. you will be assembling large electrical switchgear cabinets and copper bus components using blueprints, measurement tools, hand tools, and power tools. Schedule: 6AM-2:30PM Monday to Friday @ $20.00/hr Essential duties and responsibilities: Interpret assembly and elevation drawings Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss seemblies Read a tape measure Experience using manual hand tools(wrench, screwdrivers, pliers, calipers, etc.) Experience with power tools(drill, impact wrench, torque wrench, etc.) Operate a sit-down forklift Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or previous experience in manufacturing field Must have previous knowledge of electical symbols and schematics Must be able to read and understand blueprints and drawings Must be able to use shop equipment and hand tools Excellent mechanical skills Preform basic math functions including an understanding of fractions and decimals Preform basic computer skills Must be able to read, write, and converse fluently in English Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds Must be able to move up to 100 pounds with assistance Must be able to preform work while sitting, standing, and kneeling Must be able to work in warehouse environment Must be able to work 8-10+ hours per day/6 days a week Must be able to pass a drug screening and E-Verify prior to starting work All qualified candidates please provide current resume for us to review, we will reach out to continue the screening process if we feel you are a qualified candidate.
