Make an Impact: Trauma Surgery Assignment in North Carolina We are seeking a skilled and highly qualified Trauma Surgeon to join our critical care team near Newland, North Carolina, on a locum tenens basis. This challenging and rewarding role is essential for providing expert, high-quality care to trauma patients during critical times. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert trauma surgical care, including procedures such as tube thoracostomy, central venous catheter placement, and arterial line placement. Manage a caseload of up to 35 patients per day in collaboration with fellow providers. Engage in comprehensive patient care across the Emergency Department, ICU, and hospital floors. Utilize Cerner Power Chart for Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Schedule & Support: Shifts: Day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) and Night (5:30 PM - 7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays. Commitment: 14 shifts per month (12-hour shifts; 24-hour options available). Team: Work alongside attending surgeons, APPs, and residents. Full APP and trauma nurse lead support during night coverage. Call room available for night shifts. Qualifications: Board Certification in Trauma Surgery is required. Active North Carolina Medical License and DEA registration. Current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
