Senior Tax Associate
DescriptionOur growth is your opportunity for growth! We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our team in Manhattan. You will provide services to predominantly US-inbound international businesses in the manufacturing and distribution industry. If you are seeking a dynamic workplace backed by supportive team members, competitive benefits, and a unique (global) client base, then we might be the firm for you!What you will do:Prepare and review Federal and state corporate and partnership tax returnsAssist with the preparation and review of income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740Act as a point of contact for clients, answering ad-hoc tax-related inquiries, handling notices, and addressing client requestsManage multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of work while maintaining high standards of accuracy and qualityPerform technical tax research on a variety of Federal, state, and international tax topicsStay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations; performance in-depth tax search, deliver timely and high-quality services that exceed client expectationsProvide training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff associates and internsWhat you need to bring:Minimum 4-5 years of experience in federal and state income tax, including experience in public accountingBA/BS degree in Accounting, or Master's degree in Accounting/TaxationExperience in the manufacturing and distribution industryCCH Axcess tax experienceExcellent research, writing and communication skills in EnglishProcess-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsSolid organizational skills with the ability to multi-taskDemonstrate responsibility, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively as a team playerPreferred Qualifications:Strong corporate tax compliance and tax provision experienceCPA license or similar certificationProSystem fx EngagementBenefits:We understand that talented individuals are drawn to companies that offer comprehensive benefits packages.
