About the CompanyFounded in 1982, the Coalition for the Homeless (CFTH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the lead organization for Houston’s homeless response system, The Way Home. Working with over 100 community partners across Harris, Fort Bend, and Montgomery Counties, CFTH uses a data‑driven, collaborative approach to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring. Since 2011, this work has helped reduce homelessness in the region by more than 60%, creating lasting change for individuals, families, and communities.Job Summary The position is full-time, grant-funded with the potential for extension to a permanent role. Key responsibilities include monitoring progress towards program goals, developing partnerships with agencies, managing program-specific workgroups, ensuring accurate data collection, focusing on quality improvement, and supporting various youth initiatives. The role also involves representing the organization in the service provider community and staying updated on relevant HUD regulations.ResponsibilitiesMonitor progress toward program goals in Diversion, Rapid Resolutions, and additional upstream projectsDevelop and maintain effective system-wide partnershipsManage and lead all program-specific workgroupsEnsure client referrals are generated to appropriate intervention and housing programsPartner with Case Management staff to ensure accurate data collectionFocus on continuous quality improvement related to housing programs/interventionsProvide onsite assistance where services are being providedProvide consistent feedback to partnering agenciesStaying up to date on government agency-specific protocols and processesAssist with monthly data quality reports, audit data quality, recommend corrective action, training topics, etc.Develop and execute system initiatives to connect clients and providers to resourcesCreate and follow specific timeline to complete projectsProactive problem solving and utilization of data to make decisionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree and two (2) years relevant experience or some college credits and four (4) years relevant experienceRequired SkillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of fair housing laws and regulationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAttention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated experience or knowledge of homeless services, either through lived experience of homelessness or through professional/community involvementExperience with systems planning and coordinationDemonstrated success in complex stakeholder engagement and change managementExperience working in a non-profit settingSkilled in effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders and leading successful change management processesOperates effectively in a fast-paced organization and can navigate ambiguityKnowledge of HUD guidelines and policies regarding funding and housingMaintain accurate and up-to-date records according to HUD Data StandardsAbility to work cross-functionally addressing housing-related issues and concerns
