Office Manager

Job Title: Office Manager Reports To: Director of Support Services FLSA Status: Exempt Location: Scouting America, Las Vegas Area Council Position Overview:The Office Manager oversees the administrative operations of the Las Vegas Area Council, ensuring efficient office services and staff support to achieve council goals and objectives. This role manages and supervises office support staff, including Field Staff Admin Assistant, Program Staff Admin Assistant, Customer Service Staff, Office Assistants, and Cristo Rey Interns. The Office Manager serves as the primary membership registrar for the council and oversees the council's trading post. All customer service provided by the Office Manager and support staff to internal and external customers must reflect and uphold the values of the Scout Oath and Law.Key Responsibilities:Office Administration·        Plan and coordinate office services and related activities for maximum efficiency.·        Supervise general business office functions, including mail, filing, administrative support, and supplies.·        Schedule building rentals and communicate scheduling conflicts promptly.Staff Management ·        Direct and support administrative staff to ensure alignment with council objectives.·        Provide training, scheduling, and performance oversight for office team members.·        Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Membership & Registration·        Serve as the primary membership registrar for the council.·        Ensure accurate processing of youth and adult registrations, transfers, and renewals.·        Maintain compliance with national membership standards and reporting requirements. Trading Post Oversight·        Manage operations of the council trading post, including inventory control and customer service.·        Coordinate with vendors and ensure timely ordering of merchandise and supplies.·        Work with staff to reach the end-of-year budgetQualifications:·        Strong leadership and organizational skills. ·        Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic environment. ·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office and membership management systems. ·        Experience in staff supervision and office administration with 2+ years of experience. ·        Customer service and retail experience preferred.·        Knowledge of Scouting America a benefit but not required.Benefits:Benefits include major medical, prescription coverage, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, accidental death, a 403(B) Retirement Plan with company match, and Employee Assistance Program, plus compensation for authorized and approved business-related expenses.
