Sous Chef / Line Cook
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef / Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of our restaurant, specializing in fine dining, catering, and banquet services. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and presentation standards
Assist in menu planning and development to enhance culinary offerings
Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
Oversee food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
Coordinate with catering and banquet departments to ensure timely and accurate food delivery for events
Monitor food quality during service and make adjustments as needed to uphold consistency
Lead shift management duties, including opening and closing procedures
Collaborate with restaurant management on operational improvements and customer satisfaction initiatives
Experience
Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management
Supervising experience within a culinary setting, demonstrating leadership skills in team management
Experience in banquet service, catering, or large-scale food production is highly desirable
Knowledge of inventory management, food safety standards, and dietary department procedures
Skilled in menu planning, food handling, and food service management
Background in hospitality or restaurant management is beneficial
Familiarity with culinary techniques across various cuisines and dietary requirements
Experience with shift management, kitchen operations, and food industry best practices
