OPERATOR IN TRAINING - WATER/WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY

Operator-in-Training Location: Walla Walla, WA 99362 Pay: $22/hr Position Overview We are seeking an Operator-in-Training to support the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant in Walla Walla, WA. This role involves assisting with plant operations, equipment maintenance, quality control testing, sample collection, shift logs, and monitoring treatment processes to help ensure safe and uninterrupted municipal services. Responsibilities Assist with operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plant equipment Perform preventive maintenance and help troubleshoot operational issues Operate treatment facilities to control the flow and processing of wastewater, sludge, and effluent Monitor plant conditions and interpret meter and gauge readings Collect samples and assist with quality control testing Maintain accurate shift logs and operational records Follow safe work practices and support a strong safety culture Perform additional plant and maintenance duties as needed Qualifications Basic understanding of water/wastewater treatment plant operations Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Ability to enter data into a maintenance management system Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Current water/wastewater certification, or working toward first-level certification Familiarity with pumps, valves, and motors Understanding of water/wastewater treatment principles and practices Knowledge of safe work practices Experience working with pumps is strongly preferred Operator-in-Training Location: Walla Walla, WA 99362 Pay: $22/hr Position Overview We are seeking an Operator-in-Training to support the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant in Walla Walla, WA.
